ANAHEIM FAMILY YMCA ANNOUNCES RIKKI BAINS AS NEW VICE PRESIDENT OF MISSION ADVANCEMENT AND CORPORATE SPONSORSHIPS

Anaheim, CA – February 2, 2023 – The Anaheim Family YMCA has named Rikki Bains as the new VP of Mission Advancement and Corporate Sponsorship, effective February 7, 2023. Brent Finlay, President and CEO, reviewed an exceptional and diverse pool of candidates before thoughtfully selecting a uniquely qualified individual, Rikki Bains with over 12 years of experience, to lead the Anaheim Family YMCA in fostering and cultivating donor relations.

Rikki will be responsible for serving as VP of Mission Advancement and Corporate Sponsorship, helping to lead and manage the YMCA’s fundraising efforts and leveraging his experience to guide the Anaheim Family YMCA’s growth. “Bains rose to the top from a search of over 40 candidates, coming highly regarded, and will bring passion and energy to the Y’s cause driven work,” said Finlay.

Rikki Bains has served in various director capacities over his twelve-year YMCA career, most recently as the Executive Director for the Fullerton YMCA. He is a 2005 graduate from University of California, Irvine and has held many leadership positions in YMCAs throughout California. In addition, he was awarded the YMCA Team Leader Certification in 2017 and was a graduate of the Cybex Research Institute in June 2016.

“I am passionate about serving the extended YMCA community. I sincerely enjoy the relationships I have cultivated with members and participants along the way. My true contentment comes from improving their health, well-being, and access to vital programming. In short, knowing I played a part in their success, whether directly or indirectly, and helping them see they can be the best version of themselves, always makes my day!” I know the Y is at the forefront and I am excited to join in that work,” said Bains.
