Anaheim Family YMCA and LA Clippers Team Up to Launch Jr. Clippers Youth Basketball in Anaheim

We are thrilled to announce a powerful new partnership that is bringing big league energy to youth sports in our community. The Anaheim Family YMCA and the LA Clippers have officially teamed up to launch the Jr. Clippers Youth Basketball League right here in Anaheim.

On Saturday, May 3, we kicked things off with an unforgettable celebration at the West Anaheim Youth Center. The energy was electric as families, kids, and community leaders came together to witness the start of something truly special. From high fives to fresh Jr. Clippers jerseys, the excitement was felt in every corner of the gym.

This new league represents more than just basketball. It is a shared commitment to youth development, community pride, and creating meaningful opportunities for kids to grow through the game. With support from the LA Clippers, our young athletes now have access to a program that builds skills, confidence, and lifelong memories.

We are incredibly thankful to the LA Clippers for believing in our vision and investing in the youth of Anaheim. Their commitment to giving back and making a difference off the court is what makes this partnership so powerful.

We also want to extend our sincere gratitude to the City of Anaheim, Councilmembers Carlos Leon and Ryan Balius, Anthony Brenneman from the Orange County Sports Commission, Visit Anaheim, our YMCA board members, and our amazing coaches and volunteers who made this day possible.

Most importantly, thank you to the families who showed up with spirit and support. Your energy made the launch unforgettable.

This is only the beginning. With the Clippers by our side and our community behind us, we are building more than a league. We are building something lasting for the youth of Anaheim. Let’s go Jr. Clippers!
