Volunteer Appreciation: Kay

Kay is the current Chairwoman of the Anaheim Family YMCA Board of Directors. The Anaheim Family YMCA Board of Directors is made up of dedicated community leaders who use their diverse talents to help define the Y’s long-range Strategic Plan. Each board member actively serves on the committees that implement the plan throughout our programs, community initiatives and fundraising efforts.

I believe volunteering is a way to give back to our community and I firmly believe that you get back in satisfaction more than you give.”

Her association with the Anaheim Family YMCA goes back almost 30 years. During that time, she has served on various committees such as the Marketing & Fundraising Committee and the Good Friday Breakfast Task Force. She was also the very first female board chair back in 2000.

I love the Y and the principles and the values for which it stands”

Kay also expresses her sincere gratitude too all of the directors on the Anaheim Family YMCA Board:

This week as we are honoring volunteering, I want to acknowledge the volunteer generosity of our entire Board of Directors. Without the time, treasure and expertise they offer to the organization, we could not be serving the needs of those children and families who depend on us. Thank you sincerely to each and every one of you for taking your time and talent to make this a better community for us all.”
