Coach Adame has been a volunteer coach for the Anaheim Family YMCA Basketball program since 2005. He decided to start volunteering when his children enrolled in the program themselves, and he wanted to be a part of the experience. He has been making memories with them, and dozens of other kids, ever since.
As a basketball coach, he teaches the kids basketball fundamentals and teamwork. He explains that by being a part of a team, kids are building friendships and learning how to grow together.
My teams feel a lot like family these days.”
Coach Lazaro shares that he loves getting to watch his players grow up over the years. He even has some former players who have children he is now coaching. Now, his son is 18, and he has the opportunity to coach along side him.
I really have a great time teaching the kids. I am motivated by watching the kids play together and grow as a tight knit team in the sport.”
thank you coach adame for your dedication to the anaheim family ymca basketball program!
