Y Basketball

Did you know that the YMCA invented Basketball? In 1891, a future Y director invented the game using peach baskets! After that, basketball spread like wildfire throughout the U.S. and the world. Today at the YMCA, basketball is more than just a game - it's a tradition! In Y Basketball, boys and girls ages 3-17 are introduced to basic basketball skills, rules, methods of playing, teamwork and character development.
