Y Basketball
Did you know that the YMCA invented Basketball? In 1891, a future Y director invented the game using peach baskets! After that, basketball spread like wildfire throughout the U.S. and the world. Today at the YMCA, basketball is more than just a game – it’s a tradition! In Y Basketball, boys and girls ages 3-17 are introduced to basic basketball skills, rules, methods of playing, teamwork and character development.
In this co-ed league participants are introduced to basic basketball skills, rules, methods of playing, teamwork and character development. Practices are once a week and games on the weekend. $65 Fee includes 10 weeks of games, jersey and trophy.
Financial Aid is available for qualifying families.
Spring Basketball Season Registration starts Saturday, March 31. Basketball practices start the week of May 21 . Registration deadline: May 10 (any late registrations will have a $3 fee applied)
