ANAHEIM FAMILY YMCA

SERVING ANAHEIM, CYPRESS, STANTON & LA PALMA

As the nation’s leading non-profit committed to strengthening community, the Y believes strong communities are possible only when we invest in our kids, our health and our neighbors. To bring about meaningful change, individuals need ongoing support, encouragement and connections to others — all of which the Y provides in abundance.

Our programs, services and initiatives enable youth to realize their potential, offer families ways to have fun together, empower people to be healthier in spirit, mind and body, welcome and embrace newcomers and help foster social responsibility.

YMCA CHARACTER VALUES

RESPECT

Treat others as you would want them to treat you, value the worth of every person, including yourself. Represented by GOLD for the golden rule.

RESPONSIBILITY

Do the right thing. Be accountable for your choices of behavior, actions and promises. Represented by GREEN for our fiscal and environmental responsibilities.

MISSION STATEMENT

TO PUT CHRISTIAN PRINCIPLES INTO PRACTICE THROUGH PROGRAMS THAT BUILD HEALTHY SPIRIT, MIND AND BODY FOR ALL.

YOUTH DEVELOPMENT

With the Y’s help, kids in neighborhoods across Anaheim are more interested in learning and making smarter life choices. At the Y, kids learn their ABCs, learn to share, learn about sportsmanship, build leadership skills and most importantly, learn how to be themselves. That makes for confident kids today and contributing and engaged adults tomorrow.

HEALTHY LIVING

Because the Y is for everyone, we bring together children, adults and families of all abilities like no other organization can. As a result, hundreds of thousands in Anaheim are receiving the support, guidance and resources needed to achieve greater health and well-being for their spirit, mind and body.

SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

Thanks to the generosity of volunteers and public and private donors who give to the Y, our community is stronger. Every day, we work side-by-side with our neighbors to make sure that everyone, regardless of age, income or background, has the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive.

OUR VALUES

Honesty, Caring, Respect and Responsibility: Our values are celebrated by staff, members and volunteers, and provide a positive foundation for all YMCA programs and a healthy connection with others.

OUR DESIRED IMPACT

Through involvement at the Y, people in our communities are spiritually, mentally and physically healthy. Our youth feel safe and empowered to lead significant lives. All relationships are nurtured, and people feel connected to one another and responsible in building a sense of community for all.
