Thanks to our partnership with the Anaheim City School District, the Y is now offering a free intramural sports program after school. The program is open to students who attend the school where the program is offered.
This program focuses on three different sports; soccer, basketball and baseball. Participants will learn basic skills, teamwork, various methods of play and positive values. This league is noncompetitive. Participants will have fun learning new skills and will demonstrate good sportsmanship towards their coach, teammates and other teams. The program will also incorporate a character lesson focusing on the four YMCA character pillars: Honesty, Caring, Respect and Responsibility.
Practices are held Monday-Thursday after school and games are on Fridays. There are three age divisions; Pee Wee: Kinder – 1st grade, Junior Varsity.: 2nd and 3rd grade, and Varsity: 4th, 5th and 6th grade
