Last Wednesday, 500 students from 38 schools in the Anaheim Achieves after-school program gathered at the Tiger Woods Learning Center Theater to watch and cheer on 38 students competing in an academic challenge.

Collaboration teaches third graders water safety

The Anaheim Family YMCA, Salvation Army and Magnolia School District are in a second successful year of the Y.E.S. Program (Youth and Education through Swimming), a community collaboration that brings swimming to third-graders as a means to improve their health, water safety and overall development.
