They are at the heart of every YMCA, and that 's why YMCAs are at the heart of community life in more than 10,000 communities nationwide. Here at the Anaheim Family YMCA, volunteers have opportunities in sports, camp, academics, and enrichment programs, to name a few. Volunteer opportunities in Y camp

We have two weeklong summer camps every year. If you are outgoing, responsible, love kids and teens, and are committed to making a difference in their lives, then Y Camp is for you!

We believe in giving campers a year round support group. That's why being a leader at our Camps is a year round commitment. We have activities throughout the year like dances, weekend camps, and fundraisers. We believe that every camp leader should be eager to maintain friendships with their campers.

Camp Fox
Camp Fox is for 13-18 year olds and takes place at Catalina Island. Our week at Camp Fox is usually at the end of June. Leaders for Camp Fox need to be 19+ and ready for a week of fun in the sun with teens.

Camp Miehana
Camp Miehana is our Mountain Camp for children ages 7-12. This camp is usually in August and activities include hiking, ropes course, canoeing, and other mountain camp activities. Leaders at Camp Miehana need to be 18, and Counselors in Training (CIT's) must be 15 and will pay half price.
