A Little Time Goes a Long Way
Did you know it only takes one hour a week to be a mentor? That's just
one lunch break or perhaps a break between classes. It's also one hour
where you'll be sharing more than just your time you'll be sharing tools
that will stay with a child for a lifetime.
While meeting one-on-one or with groups of kids, you can share a special
skill or talent. You can provide homework assistance or perhaps pack
a lunch for two and share it with a student who needs a boost. Whatever
your background or interest, the Anaheim
Achieves After-School Program is the perfect
place to start your mentoring experience. Both daytime and after-school
hours are available to fit your schedule.
As a mentor, you'll be helping young students soar to new heights-and
blossom with creativity, character and confidence.
Anyone Can Be a Mentor
Anyone with a caring heart and time for a child can be a mentor. Hundreds
of volunteers, from every walk of life, currently participate in the
Anaheim Achieves Mentor Program. Volunteers include: High School Students,
College Students, Senior Citizens, Corporate Employees, Community Members,
Church Members and Parents.
The list goes on. Each mentor has his or her own unique experiences
to share. Won't you come share yours?
