Kids Challenge
Last Wednesday, 500 students from 38 schools in the Anaheim Achieves after-school program gathered at the Tiger Woods Learning Center Theater to watch and cheer on 38 students competing in an academic challenge. Named Kids Challenge, this event chooses student to participate for their excellent grades and represent their school answering trivia questions given by school administrators and community leaders. Topics included math, language arts, science, character, and history.
The Anaheim Family YMCA awarded all participants with Walmart gift cards. The final winners of the competition received a free week at YMCA Camp Miehana.

ulema Morales, 6th grade participant from Mann Elementary said “I really enjoyed the Kids Challenge and learned a lot of new things from the competition. I studied trivia questions for a few days to prepare for Kids Challenge. It was fun to make new friends at different schools. I think I will get better grades because of my involvement in Kids Challenge.”
